A few of the songs listed were written prior to 1950. They are "timeless" numbers that seem to always recieve a renewed interest each time a new vocalist or group sings or plays them. However, to my knowledge no song listed here was written AFTER 1959.
The following lists of songs, their artists, and information may not always be 100% accurate. I have gathered the information from many locations on the web. In the process I have noticed that even usually reliable sources may differ slightly in title, charting date, charting placement and lyrics. The same song may have been recorded by different artists during the same time frame and may have in fact all been charted at the same time, each one having a slightly different title and or lyrics.
The objective of this site is to give those that did not live in the 1950s a little insight to what it was like. And for those of us that did, a reminder of those carefree days.
